Oh, this is such a gorgeous look at Lily and Vivian, their complexities and relationship and the depth of their bond. It's perfectly them, and I feel quite overwhelmed that you've written something so gorgeous for me! Thank you! ♥ ♥ ♥

I want to quote the entire story, but this is just one of the many lines that made me shiver with pleasure and the rightness of it.

Vivian because she feels that they are two halves of a single whole anyway, and Lily because she can't quite forget that her sister had been the one to make her eye patches in every shade of the rainbow, ruining her own sight by making them lovely as carved ivory miniatures, Charlotte's jewels and sequins to sparkle against silk.
