Porthos is so fantastically good - like, I really believe he has the brute strength to get away with some of the stuff he does, plus there's the humor, the loyalty, and that smile. I was convinced that the sister they rescued in 2x01 would end up in his arms, and was absolutely dumbsquizzled when she kissed D'Artagnan instead. Also, I never once considered Anne/Constance, but now that you mention it . . . (I cannot believe Anne has let Aramis get away with skulking around her son's chamber and asking totally obvious questions. Lock that down, Anne!) Plus, Anne/Constance would be a nice inverse to the Aramis/Porthos dynamic - they clearly have helped each other out plenty of times before, when Athos was off plumbing the depths of his epic manpain and D'Artagnan was just a wee lad out in the country.

I've only seen Marc Warren in bad/dumb guy roles, so I've never enjoyed having him on my screen, but I'll take your word for it that he can be charming.

Sleepy Hollow's descent in quality has been dizzying, which is dismaying, because it was so reliably bonkers and fun last year. I could not possibly care less about Hawley or Katrina, and so much of this season has been given over to them. Plus, the writers seem to have no idea how to incorporate Frank (and, to a lesser extent, Jenny) into the main action, which, again, they've messed up by making it Abbie-Ichabod-Katrina instead of just Abbie-Ichabod.
