Ok, this is adorable and awesome and perfectly in character like all of your Frakked-Up Fairy Tales. Sigh. Is it weird that I love Caprica-Gaius-Zak as much as the Kara-Lee bits in this?

Oh! And the ending on the carpet? Awesome. Actually, the sexy times bit on the carpet? Also awesome.

Thank you very much.

I had so much fun writing Caprica and Gaius and Zak so I'm really glad you liked them.

Steppenwolf was playing in my head everytime the magic carpet showed up - it was the only character that had a theme song.:)

This is so great! I loved Gaius the Genie and the Caprica/Zak/Gaius bits.

And of course, Kara/Lee on the carpet <3333

I was having a really hard time outlining this story until I slotted Gaius in as the genie - everything fell into place after that.

Thank you for reading and commenting.:)

Oh so adorable! And now I really, really want to watch Aladdin again. Heh.

I was so amused by Gaius as the genie, I was wondering who it would be and then...voila! Perfect!

I love the Zak tries to comfort Lee in his grief scene too. Sigh.

SO...what's your next fairytale? Little Mermaid? Goldilocks? The Princess and the Pea? :)

I'm so glad you liked it, thank you. (And I totally watched Aladdin a couple of weeks ago - I love that movie)

There wasn't really a thing I could do to make this one darker or more angsty. Once Gaius decided he wanted to be a genie, the story just sort of bounced over the dead bodies and enjoyed itself with absolutely no shame.

I'm so glad you liked the Zak and Lee scene too - I can't help myself, I want Kara and Lee to have friends and family who support and love them.

Maybe Little Mermaid if I can get my angst-o-meter up again, but I'm pretty open right now.

You sound disappointed that it wasn't angstier! Not everything needs to be angst. It was a welcome change. They need some fun every now and again. :)

Oh, I'm not disappointed, just amused, I'm fully on board with the kids having fun. I just wrote this in out-of-order chunks over a (very) long period of time, fun things first and the bloodier and more emotional stuff last, so that was what was in my head. When I did a read through of the whole thing it was funny to see the tone was so light, despite the fact that I had just spent the last however long killing people.

Hee - I totally forgot I suggested that!!! But you did it brilliantly - I loved Gaius as the genie (and his threesome with Zak and Six was such an excellent idea). And Kara is a perfect street urchin, surviving on her wits (and a few punches). Lovely!

Thanks for the inspiration, I'm glad you enjoyed it.:)

This one was so unabashedly crackified - I blame Gaius (and Caprica and Zak).
