8 Days till Christmas!

DAY 17: Jesus will seek out His flock. It's easy for Satan to decieve us into thinking that we are lost and must remain in that state. No matter what little or big sin we have done or even sometimes not done, Satan is the master of lies and twists the truth in our hearts convincing us that either we cannot be saved, or that no salvation is necessary. Because for those who do not know, or do not believe in Christ, there is no light of hope, and the next best thing is to hope that light is not needed and never was. Their blindness binds them to a sort of despair that keeps them from true happiness. But it need not be so, because God loves us all, and is seeking every one of us. It is not blind faith, nor brainwashing of the masses to find and bask in His love. The exquisite feeling of Peace that comes from knowing, following and loving our Redeemer is so deep that men cannot deny it without a great many lies to themselves and others.
Symbol is the Candy Cane - The candy cane is shaped like a shepherd's crook, reminding us of Jesus, the Good Shepherd, and when turned upside down, the shape is a J. The red stripe symbolizes Christ's sacrifice and the white background His purity.
Scripture of the day: Ezek. 34:11-16, 31 - For thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out. As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country. I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel. I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord God. I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment
31 And ye my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men, and I am your God, saith the Lord God.
