Day 6: Whom shall I Follow?
Even though the Inn had no room for Mary and Joseph, the innkeeper chose to let them stay in his stable, which turned out to be a blessing for them. Our free agency and ability to choose will influence the paths our lives take. We can choose to either have no room in our inn, or to give him drink. We can choose to follow the Savior and be kind to others, having Charity, the pure love of Christ, in our lives.
The symbol is the Heart - The great love Jesus has for each one of us.
Scripture of the day:
Luke 2:6-7 (again!) - And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
Matt. 25:31-40 - For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
