Two days before my interview with the Embassy and I'm a total wreck.
Sudden onset of a severe ear infection in my left ear led me to the Doc's office Friday morning. Luckily I was the first patient in line, and his ever-efficent staff got me in to see him less than 2 mins after I arrived.
He looked in, made his diagnosis; I collected the prescription, paid the bill, out the door in less than 10mins.
Jetted to the pharmacy where Pfizer proceeded to ass-fuck me with the price of their antib's. $220.00 later with 3 PILLS in my hand, the pain in my left ear started getting more intense and I was more than eager to get home to gobble me one of 'em expensive-as-Choo Shoes pills with two Extra Strength Tylenol in tow.
Now see, the thing about an ear infection is that it gets MUCH worse before getting better and since I have not had one in about ohhh 25years, I had completely forgotten this. Even though I kept popping pain killers like a fat kid eats Klondike Bars, I wasn't getting nearly the satisfaction. My mother then presents me with Panadene saying, "Here take two of these. This is what they give to post-surgery patients, it'll knock you out so you could at least rest." Oh thank my lucky stars.
Not. I don't know if it was the throbbing pain in my ear or my complete and utter irritable mood, but I didn't feel even the slightest bit drowsy. All I felt was more pain, more pressure from 8pm to 11:30pm when I decided I couldn't take it anymore. Got up, had another antib, more Tylenol and T, bless his soul, had suggested a hot compress earlier...oh man, hot compresses rock my knee-high punk rainbow coloured sox.
Got 1 hr sleep between 4:30-5:30am. And this is when it got alot better: Now my tummy was cramping up, "Hmm, what's this?" I thought to myself. Went to the bathroom and op! There was my PERIOD!! ARRRGGHH!! Could this get any friggin worse??? No? Well, it did. Though I did get much stronger pain killers this morning, my stomach decided to go on vacation right in the middle of a crisis. So anything I decide to put into it, keeps coming back out. Ain't that a doozy? And though the new pain killers are helping and I did manage to catch some zzz's today, I still feel like crizzap.
The good news is...T got is drivers license!
