I just found out my chem midterm grade. I got 76/100.

This is raw, before the curve. Averages from what I hear are usually around 50-60.

Christ almighty!@!! I actually did way better than I thought. AGAIN AGAIN THIS HAPPENED AGAIN. This is so different than when I took Chem 2A. No doubt, I had a lousy fucking attitude about it the first time around. I wasn't content with the professor, the TA, the labs, whatever so I didn't put much effort in. But this time, I'm actually taking time to attend workshops, understand labs, go to discussion sections, etc. It's awesome...I'm beginning to enjoy chemistry!

Enough about school. I've been cooking some hella tasty meals lately. Cooking...ah! I love it. It's one of the few activities I can completely engage in flow AND I get to eat the fruits of my labor. Truly a fatty's hobby. 8)

I cooked the ribeye steak using Alton Brown's method, using a HOT cast iron pan and a HOT oven. It was amazing. Tender and juicy with a beautiful crust. Side of crash potatoes (google it), and spring salad with honey dijon dressing. I made this on Friday night as a reward for getting through midterms. ;D

I cooked this for dinner last night. Char sui on rice with a squirt of Sriracha. Simple, yet awesome. 8)
