I have not updated in a while. I guess I should do it now while I’m at work, otherwise I would probably be studying.
The past few weeks have been very odd. My mom has been nice to me, but my dad has been very distant. My dad, basically, doesn’t want to deal with me leaving. My neighbors (parent’s best friends) called me over to their house and gave me the basic DL about how my parents are reacting to me leaving and all that jazz… then they gave me their numbers so that I could contact them if I need anything. They gave my older sister the same speech before she moved to New York. That freaked me about for a good while. They told me that they realized that my dad still treats me as if I’m 12… and that is so incredibly true! I’m 20 damnit!
My mom has been very helpful with everything; she’s let me use her credit cards for UNT related things because I hate credit cards… Luckily, she has all my funds so I pay her back whenever she gets the cash out... A. G. Edwards for life! So far it looks like we’re just taking my car up there and she’ll be flying down. My little car is going to be so packed! I need to take him in to get check out soon before New Year’s eve… drunk cars will be getting fixed at that time, I’m sure.
Still no word from the housing department… I’m going to give them one more week. I need to have a backup plan/apt. Speaking of housing, my mother is going overboard on junk that she wants me to bring… curtains? I do not need curtains! I just need a blanket, my computer and dvds and I’ll be set. If not then I’ll go to Wal-Mart.

On Saturday, I took my brother and sister to go see the Night of Lights on campus. It was boring compared to last year. This year all they had there was food booths and an expensive jewelry stand. We made it in time to see the EHS jazz band. They did pretty well, not as good as the Jeter days though. I ended up running into Rogers and he came up to me like if we were great friends and asked me to come see him. Uh… Screw that. I would not waste a minute of my time visiting that guy. I still need to tell Lisa about this… she’ll probably get all feelings because they are such great friends and blah blah blah… lol Anyway…. After being there for 30 minutes or so my little sister summed up the night when she said “It sucks here.” So we left and I was going to take them to Peter Piper Pizza, but that place was infested with kids, parents and parties. So they picked Pizza Hut. It was ok I guess… Nobody wanted to go to La Casa del Taco. Next time…
Two more exams left and one prof meeting. I’m almost outta here!
