So glad that it's not as cold today as it has been the last couple of days. I don't like it when the condensation freezes on the INSIDE of windows in the flat. It did snow here, but it didn't settle and turned to sleet later in the day. I received a cryptic text from the boyfriend during my lunchbreak yesterday (it said something about not having ( Read more... )

Yeah, me too; with the conditions being as bad as they were, it could have been a lot worse. He got picked up by someone driving past who took him to the nearest pub to wait until the RAC could tow him out, so at least he was sat somewhere warm with a kind lady giving him tea.

I DON'T KNOW what the donut thing is, but there are circles or rings ALL OVER THE PLACE in this series so I guess it's a motif of sorts. I think the dialogue here is one of those deep-but-meaningless anime things? But deliberately made ridiculous? I am at least hoping it's not meant to be taken seriously.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. I need to get more people to watch this - there is an LJ comm for it but it's really small and inactive, and at the moment nobody else I know is watching. It's just such good fun and at this point I have truly become sucked in and started caring about what happens as well as having a good laugh about it.

Yes, I have seen the first episode and was in fits of laughter over certain parts of it, I just haven't had time to watch more yet. I don't watch anime comedy that often, but it definitely seems like something that is worth my time. :)

Oh, that's great! I read "stuck in the snow for 4 hours," and wondered about the cold.

Lol. One of the people on my f-list is watching Evol just for Jin's voice actor. :P

Episodes 1 and 4 have been my favorite so far, although 2 has its moments. I screencap it on Tuesdays, and am slowly converting my f-list. XD

He was stranded in the car for a while, but not that long (it just took that long to get the car out; the first recovery vehicle they sent couldn't get up the hill in the snow to where it was, so they had to send something else). Luckily, he'd been planning on going out hiking so had a lot of cold-weather clothing with him. I don't know why he thought it was such a great idea to be out at all when the weather was that awful, but admittedly the forecast changed for the worst overnight and he forgot to check it again before leaving in the morning.

Jin hasn't been featured that much yet, but I get the impression he'll get more screentime once we see more of that side. I also have him pegged as dying before the series is out, simply by virtue of being a supporting character on the bad guy side. So we'll see. So far, I haven't made a decision to watch something based PURELY on voice actors, but I'll happily admit it does factor into my choices and sometimes keeps me watching pure crap longer than I should (COUGH COUGH Psychic Detective Yakumo, that was an awful awful series!).

I'll try to watch more soon - I saw you were screencapping it but wasn't sure whether looking through your posts would lessen the impact of the episode. The first episode made a good impression on me anyway, so if there's more like that in store then I'll keep going with it. :D

Ah, good thing about the clothes! Also, I'm just glad he was able to get out the car in the first place.

I also have him pegged as dying before the series is out
LOL.

I held on to Brave 10 because of the voice actors. >.>

Ah yes, they do spoil the punch lines. I think they're better for the, "Ah, I remember! That was hilarious!" recaps.

Yeah, I keep thinking about how much worse it could have been and am just glad he wasn't even scratched. He said it was a really slow crash; he lost traction coming around a corner and just slid straight into the ditch and then couldn't get it out. The car doesn't LOOK too bad, but after he was towed out and tried to drive it home, it broke down again on the way and had to be towed all the way back. Not sure whether it's salvageable yet, depends on whether it needs a new engine or not and how much that's going to cost. I don't care about the car that much compared to the boyfriend, so we'll deal with it.

HAHAHA yeah, a BIG reason I even picked up Brave 10 was for the voice actors; it's a good series for that. I might well have watched it anyway, but it definitely brings some added enjoyment!

I'll have to come and browse your posts after I've caught up a bit then, to compare favourite/funniest moments. :)

Losing control of a car is still terrifying. x.x

Lol Rokuro's stripperific outfit guaranteed at least the first episode for me, regardless of the magnificent seiyuu. Seriously, what is that costume design?!

Yesyes! Motoharu the delinquent (lol) gets more screen time and his awesome buddy Karasawa (with the white hat) does too. :D

I should probably be ashamed to admit that seeing Rokuro's character design and that outfit was ALSO a big part of why I decided to watch the series. How does it even stay in place? It's just ASKING for a wardrobe malfunction.

SO LETS TALK ABOUT A.EVOL 6, BECAUSE SHRADE NEEDS TO BE TALKED ABOUT.

While we're at it, Cayenne/Shrade much?!!! And Kagura-Amata-Mikono triangle what?!

Poor Andy. FOREVER ALONE.

OMG YES. THAT EPISODE.

I just finished screencapping it, and episode 7 is out now AHHH MUST SEE. Cayenne/Shrade is so blatant, I love it. I am starting to think it won't end very well for those two, though. I don't know what to make of the Kagura-Amata-Mikono triangle, but I am interested.

HAHA, ANDY WILL NEVER GET TO UNION WITH A GIRL, EVER.
