I don't think the pacing of Shiki could be any more perfect for me. I've often felt that anime series have a tendency to move too slowly in the middle and then wait too long for the climax. Too often, the final episode feels like a rushed attempt to cram in some action and fill in the blanks. But that's just not true here. I love series with a fast ( Read more... )

B-BUT DON'T YOU LIKE HIS SENSE OF FASHION?

No, being serious, I can see why some people find it off-putting. I've been watching it with Tom and he HATES some aspects of the character design (mainly the hairstyles and the ridiculous clothing that some of the characters wear...). I just find it amusing/don't find that it detracts from my enjoyment of the show, but yeah, I guess it's not for everyone?
