Revolutionary Snow

It's snowing here. It started lightly on my way home from work this morning; the snowflakes were dainty and almost weightless and hung in the sunlight (it was a lot like compensation for the bitterly cold wind this morning as I shivered my way out of the front door). That was very poetic... Makes me want some even more now. Snow, I mean.

I have been marveling at everyone's snow-day pictures on FR!

I am trying to believe I will wake up tomorrow to a snow-covered Elburg. But it's so doubtful in this wet little country!

It certainly makes a change from the normally damp weather here, too! Snow is pretty rare in Devon. It's actually snowing quite heavily again. I will try to take some pictures on the way to work (I took one from the window earlier but the view is not great (crossroads and the pun across the road).

Has there been any snow forecast at all for where you are?

Cool, should definitely be able to meet up - I normally have Saturdays off and work all three shifts on Sundays, but even if you can only do Sunday I do have a long break and would be free late evening.

I can't promise the snow will last until then, though! (Although it is still around now...)

We had big fat flakes around 3 this afternoon. First time I can remember it laying properly in years! :D

It really is rare for it to snow like this! I woke up this morning to the largest flakes I've ever seen, but unfortunately it lasted for about 10 minutes before stopping, and now it's all sun and blue sky outside.
