Confused Again

It's pretty rare that the exeter_uni community gets any posts, but there was one today that caught my interest. It's for an annual convention held by the Sci-fi Society, and the person who made the post linked to the convention's Wikipedia page, and I clicked the link on a whim, to discover that it must have been fairly large at one point, judging by the guest speakers. In 1988, for example, among the speakers present were Terry Pratchett, Iain Banks, Diana Wynne Jones and Neil Gaiman. I have to admit that I don't know how big it actually is now (although it does span two days with talks held on each day), but I wasn't expecting to see so many names I recognise in that article. I am reminded by this of an event that I actually DO want to go to, namely the Exeter Comic Expo (part of the Animated Exeter fortnight). I stumbled across this by accident last year, and will be going back simply because Tokyopop were there and were selling volumes of manga for £1 each (they have been confirmed to attend again this time). I'll also be going to the UK's second screening of Mind Game, because I've seen it at least three times before and I think it's fantastic.

Finally, does anyone have any idea what this post in ratties is about? I'm evidently missing something, and all the links are taking me to some Russian site.

EDIT: The account of the moderator who made that post was hacked. DO NOT CLICK THE LINKS. I did click them and have changed my password just in case.
