It's Not Over When it Ends
The most recent episode of Gundam 00 is downloading. This makes me happy. For some reason, it feels like I've been waiting an age for this episode; I'm so used to subs coming out on the same day as the episode airs. Unfortunately, I accidentally spoiled myself in part for this episode whilst poking around online waiting for it to be released. I don't actually know that much about it, because I clicked away as soon as I realised what I was reading, so it should still be exciting. I might have to avoid LJ towards the end of the series until I've seen each episode.
It also feels like I haven't updated here in a long time. I know there are several things I wanted to mention but as time passes it almost doesn't feel appropriate to update about the million small things that have crossed my mind recently. I haven't done much apart from work and watch anime, actually. I am so close to having caught up with every single one of the currently airing series I'm watching, and I also finished Toward the Terra a couple of days ago, and spent the last few episodes intermittently sobbing. It was a truly fantastic series, and one that got better the more I watched. I hadn't realised quite how invested in it I was until the last third (although I was close to tears at an earlier character death). It has been on my mind for the last day or so, too, which is the sign of a good series. And it's left me craving something else long and angsty and full of character development, so if anyone has anything to recommend... It has also started me thinking about the other series I have watched (or books I have read/films I have seen and so on) that have stayed with me long after I finished them. I am coming to realise that they almost all have something in common with each other in that the endings are always bittersweet at best.
I have a 6ft black Christmas tree on the way, which is exciting. Haven't figured out exactly where in the flat it's going to go, but that'll come later. It's a slim one, at least.
