An Engineer's Guide to Cats

My last post about cats reminded me of a video I watched with some friends a week or so ago. It's called An Engineer's Guide to Cats, and is worth watching for the cat yodeling section even if you have next to no interest in the domesticated feline. I found it not only amusing but also charming, since it's evident that the two men in the video really love their cats.

I had my third and final meeting with my dissertation supervisor this morning. I've realised that I'm now more concerned about my work being a disappointment to her than I am about the possibility of getting a good mark. How absurd. This probably stems from the fact that, if I'm being honest, it's highly unlikely that I will get a terrible mark. I know my writing and I know how difficult it is to completely fail in my subject. I also know how difficult it is to escape that middle ground and do exceptionally well, which is what my supervisor seems to think I'm capable of. It really does put the pressure on me to hear her talk about how exciting and original my work is and how she's looking forward to reading it. This could, however, be enough to motivate me to finally get on with editing and rewriting.

Might be meeting up with previous housemate E tonight, if she's not too busy.
