An article in the Times yesterday morning

Red Dwarf. The Office. Fawlty Towers. Coupling.Queer as Folk. (I think) Pop Idol.

British TV shows that American networks have taken and made an American version of. Usually to very little acclaim, often missing the point, and generally leaving people with a feeling of: "But why did they do it?"

One thing you can say about the new format they've stolen from us Europeans? At least you can't make The Eurovision Song Contest any worse.

...unless you don't have Terry Wogan. Well, you can't have Terry Wogan, you crazy yanks! Enjoy the pain of having to sit through "Americovision" without it! Hahahaha!

Explain your Live Journal name and its meaning.
Well, this is apparently less obvious than I thought it was when I picked it. Innerbrat has been my online alias since the sixth form (97/98?), and is simply a spoiled daddy's girl version of the inner child. Someone once said to me that I have an extraordinary talent in getting what I want. Not necessarily winning arguments or throwing tantrums, but just persuading people to do what I want to do and managing to be happy a lot. Even when I'm miserable. I'm shallow and proud of it - my heart is worn on my sleeve most of the time, and I'm so firmly in touch with my IB, that it's a major part of my personality. I think children have it best, and I'm not ready to be an adult yet. So there.

Taggages, hmm. People whose username I don't know the story behind: avariel_wings; bodldops; fightingthecage; imyril; kentraine; leunnammi; neenie; viridian
