We're thinking about going on a short trip to Northern Ireland during the first week I'm off. Leaving on monday, coming back on friday. Staying in Portrush most of the nights, maybe one or two nights in Belfast or Dublin. We're not 100% sure yet, though we've been looking at flights etc. I want to go!!!

*lol* No, there's way too much to see in just one or two days... But I really really want to go to Portrush and we don't have the money to go for longer...

That sounds like fun! I really want to go to Dublin, I've only been to Belfast so far.

I've been to Belfast before as well, and from Dublin I only saw the airport, the railway station and bits and pieces through the window of the taxi ;)

I actually seem to prefer the cities that are not too big. I don't know, I like being able to go everywhere by foot if I would like to...

Me too :) I love being able to get everywhere on foot and not have to rely on public transport or hiring a car.

My tip: Fly cheap to Dublin and rent a car at the airport!

We have the cheap flights, but I'm not sure I dare to drive there (having to drive on the left and such) so we might go for public transport ;)

That sounds lovely! I went to celebrate New Year's in Dublin a few years ago and we made a city trip out of it. It is a lovely city, not too big and so much to see and do. There are also great excursions to go on which take you out of the city into the beautiful nature surrounding the town. I hope that wherever you'll go you will have a nice time, you deserve a nice break!

Thank you :) I'm sure we'll have lots of fun. It's so beautiful there and the people are so friendly, and that's all I need!
