Michel had to leave early today for a bigband rehearsal, a workshop and a barbecue with afterparty. He's also staying over the night because that's just easier. So I thought I would have a whole 24 hours to spend on my own, which sounded pretty nice to me. But it turned out a bit different as Bram (my godchild) called me to ask if I could take him

Oh, yes, I was a really nice day :) Michel didn't wake me up with breakfast as I was already awake and up by the time he got home. As a matter of fact, he was a bit hangover after the party so I eventually went to the bakery for a fresh breakfast after which he felt much better!

Brave New World is a good book. I've read it a while ago and I liked it. I've just finished The Discovery of Heaven yesterday, and I started Turkish Delight by Jan Wolkers, which is a lot thinner than the Harry Mulisch book ;)

You defnitely should go swimming with this lovely weather! We're having such a great summer until now, don't you think?

I didn't get any breakfast on bed, as I was already up by the time Michel came home, and in the end I was the one getting breakfast as he was a bit hangover from the night before ;)

Men surprise you with breakfast in bed on the most unexpected moments. Well that if Michel has done it for you before. I can't remember. Klaas always goes for croissants. He is funny that way, with breakfasts he doesn't get what I love most but what he loves, haha. Same with flowers. Your day sounded good. I love to swim but haven't done it in ages. Maybe when the fall comes around.

My day was lovely! It was great to be in the water, it was cool but not too cold. Yeah, I remember you went swimming quite a lot a while ago. I think that it was around the time that I went swimming several times a week as well. Thing is, do swim my lanes, I like it to be very calm and that only happens in the schoolyear, during the day, but then I'm working, so that's why I stopped...

Michel didn't get me breakfast as I was already up when he came home. I actually went to get us some breakfast from the bakery as he was feeling not too well because of drinking a bit too much the night before. Though he did feel a lot better after that breakfast which made me happy too. Better luck next time ;) He has done it before, so it can happen!

Now with breakfast, Michel and I like the same things, so that makes things easy, but yeah, sometimes I do see that he gets me something he really likes, hehe. It's rather funny though.
