I think you've all had enough of a rest by now, so holiday time is over, children. I expect to see all of you at school tomorrow morning.

And considering recent events, we will be learning about earthquakes. Particularly the proper response to take if you should be caught in one. I assure you, panicking is a completely useless response.

Then we can discuss it now. You will need to know the details of course - I run my classes at the elementary school from 9am to 3pm. Unless they are very much capable of defending themselves, students are not to come to and from school alone - they must be accompanied by a competent adult. If for some reason you are unable to accompany your daughter, I will be happy to take her myself on my way to class.

I will also need some details on your daughter, such as her age and what sort of education she's received.

I can provide an escort for her; me or my roommates. I've got patrol anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem. I can change my time too, hopefully.

She's four and hasn't started school yet, but I've been teaching her a little. She knows her alphabet, can count to like... five, and can read a little. She's bi-lingual, too; Japanese and English. Her mother probably taught her some other things I don't know about. She's really a bright girl.
