Update Shmupdate
Grandpa is deteriorating slowly and I’m not sure how much longer he’ll be around. My biggest fear is that he’ll be hooked up to a machine keeping him alive. I hope he’s ready to go, if he does, but I’d be happy to have him miraculously bounce back to his old codgery ways. The door was hung incorrectly and scrapes across the carpet, and when it is closed, there are gaps where air and buggies can sneak in. Also, because, I think, the entire frame of the door is off, our storm door (which was on its last legs to begin with) broke and fell apart/off.
So, yeah, nothing really happened to it, it all just kind of sucked to begin with (plus I think my front door is ugly :P). The cool part is, I can write all this stuff off on my taxes next year because it will be making my home more energy efficient, woohoo....unlike the washer and dryer we purchased last year (apparently those appliances don't count).
