Our basement drain backed up last night...woohoo! It isn't all that bad, but it still sucks...a lot. We're hoping Izzy's Dad can fix it.

Good luck! A friend had some repeated issues with that just recently - had to deal with sewer line connection getting several major breaks in it.

We had the Sewage company come and check out the main and that seems fine. I'm also, currently, not really concerned about a break because the upstairs plumbing seems to be working fine.

We're getting a bigger auger/snake and attacking it again today. Also, my boss has recommended some ultra-powerful chemical to clear the problem, so I should have things under control. Last night just sucked...a lot...when water started backing up into our basement.

Oh I was in positive horror listening to my friend (who lives in same general area you do, which is why I was worried) - but if the mainline is fine, then feel free to ignore me. ;)

Oh, the horrors that went through my mind! The worst-case-scenario involved the giant-ass maple in our front yard needing to be cut down so the pipe could be repaired from the damage it's roots caused.
