importing costs

im looking at buying some Initial D DVD's and small merchandise items from an american website. obviosuly i pay them the delivery costs. but will i have to pay import duties or anything when the package gets to the uk? I've never ordered anything from aboard before so i dont know how it works and the customs and excise website is useless. Anyone who could tell me what the cost are likely to be, if any....i would be very appreciative.
