I feel like I'm adjusting well to the new classes despite the fact that I started the week behind 8 chapters of reading. Research Methods will probably be alot of work, but if I make use of all my awkward breaks I should be fine...I hope. Social Psych is graded on 2 tests, no papers! Woohoo! Hebrew is too easy and just right at the same time. I find that I'm missing lots of vocabulary when I try to speak, but when I see it on a page, I can ususally remember it or figure it out from the context. I'm not sure I'm ready for Advanced Hebrew but I'd like to try out Conversational Hebrew.
I got a job working at the Writing Center again which is excellent since I can't seem to repress the consumer whore within me.
If I keep everything under control, I'll have time for friends and fun.
The Faculty Women's Club invited me to their scholarship dinner on a Tuesday night in February. My Social Psychology class runs until 6:30 on Tuesdays so Nick and I decided it would be my date night. That way I don't have to take the bus home at night. I'd love to invite Nick and go to the dinner because I'm very grateful for the money they gave me, but I'm nervous about one condition of attendence. According to the email, "you may be asked to say a few words about how the scholarship money has, or will, aid you in your research." Research? As far as I know, the money ensures that I don't owe ungodly amounts of money when I graduate from school. But research? The money appears to go straight into my financial aid account so I only use it to pay regular fees.
