Another update??? ---Already??? Haha. Today I'm on top of things. Not really, but I have about 10 minutes to kill before I have to drag myself outside into that beautiful weather and catch the always-on-time-early-morning bus, so I thought I could chill and drink my blueberry-green-tea into a zen induced bliss of relaxation and think about all the not-so-wonderful things I've to do today. (which, in actuality, isn't really all that much).
TO DO: Meet with Professor Abegaz at 11 for the major change/ Fall 06 registration.* Write an outline for the 15 pager, maybe even START on said paper....Yup. That's pretty much it. (Insert random giggle here). That and study for a DA Zhongwen kaoshi. (big Chinese exam).
* I'm changing my major from IR to IS-East Asian Studies. If I had been able to spend the fall in China as well, I would have had a major in Chinese language/literature, but I'm thinking the IS works. My schedule for next semester won't be too bad. I won't have any classes at all on Tuesdays/Thursdays. I'm upset because I won't be able to take Chinese calligraphy since it is at the same time as my Upper-Intermediate Chinese class. So far, I'm going to be signing up for: HIS 141--History of East Asia to 1600 with Canning at 10am; Chin 309--Survey of Chinese literature (in English) at 11am; Relg 308--Zen at 2pm; Chin 301-Upper-Intermediate Chinese at 3pm; and Govt 336-Politics of China and Japan from 4:30-6pm (but only on Mondays/Wednesdays). I still want to take Calligraphy though and since it's only offered on Wednesdays, I might see if they will let me in the class anyways. I've wanted to take that ever since I've BEEN here.
Love you all, sorry this was a rather boring one. But life is grand here, hope all is well with everyone back home.
And Sara, that mutual-ity still cracks me up at random moments... (blushes)...He_Who_should_Not_Be_Named!
Oh yeah, and for the record: Here's the Pinyin pronunciation for what we were talking about last night: {Ai li Ke} hen shuai, ye hen you yisi. {Ai li ke} FEICHANG shuai. Women ai (Ai li Ke)!!! {Sha la}, ni hen piaoliang, ye hen you yisi. Wo juede {Sha la} xihuan {Ai li Ke},. Wo juede ta yinggai gaosu ta, wen ta: Ni yuanyi bu yuanyi shi wo de nan pengyou??" Suoye women hen gaoxing!!
Wink, wink.
