WTFReborn
Finally doing some major catching up on Reborn; first, drive-by impressions not so good. What is going on with the art? Had high hopes for the Varia return at least, and so far all I've gotten out of it is that Levi's facial hair horrifies me, Bel's box animal looks like a Disney movie extra, and his brother is apparently Mello from Death Note. I have also decided I pretty much officially hate the box/flame/ring system. It is silly, overcomplicated, and lacking a firm, thought out operating system. This all makes me very sad. Also - did Xanxus CARRY that frigging chair all the way out into the woods just so he could sit in it and look cool or what? That kind of cracks me up XD;;
Addendum: Okay, so, I REALLY want to find Xanxus box animal cool and all, but OHMYGOD, all I can think of is Napoleon Dynamite. I am going to hell XD;;;;;
EDIT: Okay, I didn't quite see that coming. So the real deal is yet to come, huh? Well, that makes me feel a little bit better about recent events. All of the enemies (with the exception of Gamma's crew) were coming off as either hugely uninteresting or downright irritating to me, but maybe they were supposed to. Hm. We'll see how the real Funeral Wreaths turn out.
