(no subject)
Well, we're staying home for Thanksgiving. As suspected, Mom doesn't want to hear the truth. Things around here will be changing. The boys have always spent two nights a week with her but that won't be happening anymore. I worry about how the boys will take this, grandma has always been such a big part of their lives. I'm not sure how to explain to them that she doesn't want to be around anymore.
So anywhich, I ordered our turkey today. I got the organic one and also ordered a black forest ham. Seeing as how neither K or I have ever cooked a turkey before, this should be an interesting meal. Everything on the menu will be a first for us except for the pie. I'm sure my Thanksgiving update will be filled with amusement.
I talked to another mom today about our dilemma with school. She was able to show me another perspective to everything. I'm still undecided but it's given me more to think about.
Another thing I've decided is that I do *not* want to go back to work. I am much happier doing things for the boys and being highly involved in their school. I remember the things I did when my mom went back to work and I don't want to be an absent mom when my kids need a parent most.
