I need to do some Communicating About My Feelings, but god, I don't want to. Setting boundaries never actually works; people just resent you. Or worse, they do the "I'm sorry for being so terrible" thing, and you end up comforting THEM and reassuring them that they don't need to change, and then you're back at square one, but with more resentment.
