For Yuletide, I wrote not at all toxic, for the show You're The Worst. It's a fun little show and I think I wrote a pretty fun little fic for it.
For bandom_hols, surprising probably no one, I wrote leave the lights on when you stay, the Pete/Gabe/Mikey sex worker polyamory fic. I've wanted to write pro-sub Mikey and poly for a while, and being assigned to
romantical was a good chance to do it.

Looking back, did you write more fics than you thought you would this year, less than you thought, or about what you predicted?
Less. This year was hard for various reasons, though I find that I can’t articulate them.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2013?
Hockey.
What’s your favorite story this year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you the happiest.
“off-key anthem” It’s a gentle little thing and I’m fond of it.
Okay, NOW your most popular story.
“Rootsong.” Getting adjacent to Marvel, man. It’s intense.
Story most underappreciated by the universe?
Eh, nothing really surprised me with low response. Low response is what it is.
Story that could have been better?
“fumbling in black memory you’ll find” should’ve been a novel. :\ my fail.
Sexiest story?
“buff lesbians unite,” probably.
Story with single sweetest moment?
“Disney Days”
Saddest story?
Nothing too sad this year. There was going to be a very sad story but I didn’t finish it.
Hardest story to write?
“leave the lights on when you stay” I’ve wanted to write it for a while but actually getting it down on the page was hard.
Easiest story to write?
“Rootsong” I dashed that off in like an hour the morning after I saw the movie.
Most overdue story?
Nothing this year.
Most fun story?
“we all need a light in the dark” Gabe standing on a blackjack table announcing that he’s going upstairs to impregnate his bride is a visual that will always make me smile.
"Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story:
I haaaaate this question, every year. >:(
Story that shifted your own perceptions of the characters:
“like strangers laugh” required some internal digging re Gerard. I’m a defensive Mikeywife, so I had to take my reflex perception of things and turn it around to Gerard’s POV instead of Mikey’s.
Biggest surprise:
The fact that I wrote “Druzhba Druzhboy” at all. Only for M.
Most unintentionally revealing story:
Nothing this year, except maybe Mikey’s anxiety spirals in “leave the lights on when you stay.”
Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
Nope.
Do you have any fanfic goals for the New Year?
One per month. I hope. Do Yuletide and Femslashex and maybe one other exchange/ficathon. I’m not sure if I have any long stories left for bandom big bang, but if I come up with an idea, do that. Experiment with some new fandoms. Write short one-off vignettes if I want to. Not everything has to be an epic with plot. Start using capital letters in my fic titles again jfc.
