alpheratz and I started season 4 of The Thick of It tonight, and man, guys, I just. I just. Malcolm Tucker is one of the great fictional characters of the era, no question to that, and I LIKE him as a fictional character so much...
...but sometimes it kind of slaps me in the face what a misogynist he is, and damn that's a hurdle to get past and some dissonance in my head. Damn.
(aside from that, his Star Wars bit was one of the great television moments I can think of offhand, and Peter Capaldi's comic skills are so utterly impeccable.)
