#57: The Zoo on the Road to Nablus: A Story of Survival from the West Bank, Amelia Thomas. Apparently my impulse-buy weakness spot for ebooks is $2.99. This came up on the Booksontheknob feed as an Amazon special at that price, so I bought it. It's not good. It's not bad, but it's really not good. It's supposed to be a year in the life of the only zoo in the Palestinian territories, but sometimes Thomas decides she wants to put it into context of the history of zoos, and sometimes it's in the context of the Israel-Palestine conflict, and also the ebook is poorly edited so you can't figure out where section breaks are, and basically it's kind of a mess. Also a sad thing happens to a giraffe.

The next thing I have lined up to read is also a $2.99 impulse buy and now I am not optimistic.
