Last night redbrickrose and I went to see RENT. It was the current tour that has Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal, so that was cool. Actually, I was most impressed by the actors playing Mimi, Angel, and Collins, but there is definitely just SOMETHING about seeing Adam and Anthony as Roger and Mark. ::hearthands ( Read more... )

Um, can I just say I'd love to see your Thoughts on RENT? Because I don't think I've ever given Roger the thought he deserves, despite the fact that RENT was my first real fandom and Mark/Roger was my first OTP.

Glad you had a great time! Adam and Anthony are just... love.

The fact that Rapp and Pascal *have* played these roles so long meant that they really authentically have the rapport of old friends, which does great things for their duets.

And which really, really makes me want RPS. \o/

I pretty much agree entirely with this write-up.

It was awesome; I'm so glad we decided to go.

oh yes I saw it was in town & def would have enjoyed seeing the two originals. I saw Pascal in Aida but have never had the pleasure of Rapp.

Sounds like fun...I do love me some RENT...and did not know that it had become Yuletide-ineligible!

Totally OT but thanks for hosting Friday night. I loved seeing all those Bruce videos from the 80s.

I know it's never going to happen, but I hope Anthony and Adam are still touring with the show this time next year so I can hunt it down wherever it will be and see them in it. My big regret is not getting to NYC before the show closed. But a touring company with those two in it would make up for it.

Unless I've got to go to Bumfuck, Nowhere to see them.
