For
glossing, though it totally failed to be Jason/Dick and I didn't really stick to the prompt. Sorry, darling, can try again sometime?
This incorporates some of the Batfamily thoughts I mentioned having the other day, which I am utterly failing to compile into a coherent post. Sigh.

“He loved me best, which is part of your problem, and young prince Timothy's. But he respected you more, and still does, which chaps my ass good, let me tell you.”
And you wove the meta in beautifully. I think there's all sorts of ways we can interpret the Bruce/Robins dynamic, but this is one I keep coming back to - thinking that B's love for Jason surprised and shook him to the core, inspired *so much* guilt both wrt Dick and himself, and then *Tim* comes along, deadset on becoming the perfect Robin, and... I was going somewhere with this, but it's early yet.
athletic in the way that bikes and muscle cars are, something put together for performance, firing on all cylinders
GUH. And also, yes! YES.
they don't do that, don't invite, don't intendI love the sound of this as much as I love the content ( ... )

Regarding the meta- it's a tiny bit of a cheat, because Tim's never grabbed me the way the other two have, and I've never really looked into him or cared to find out more about him, so I'm not sure what he gets in that spectrum. So while Jason's "Championship ass-wiping?" line is 99% "because Jason is being bitchy," it's 1% "because Samantha doesn't know either."
It seemed important that there be a difference between Dick and Jason's physicalities. Again, I'm not sure how Tim would complete the trio. Hmm.
::twirls you:: I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I love the uneasy peace they've forged here, the small concessions they make to each other. Grand grand grand.

Dick should just let Jason move in. It could be a wacky buddy-cops sitcom of sorts.
