When: Evening before Kyra-Belle's due to go home
It had been quite an intense few days, as far as Jeremy was concerned. For once, it became quite obvious to him that his twin was officially dating Mike Chang. Nothing had been verbally confirmed, but there was something going on there that Jeremy hadn't seen in his brother for a very long time... possibly even since Blaine back in school. It was nice, but Jeremy wasn't sure what that was supposed to mean, considering Sebastian was based in New York and Mike was here in London. There hadn't been time to really ask yet.
Then all of a sudden Quinn was going into labour at Nick and Jeff's birthday, and Jeremy got caught up in the chaos of it all, finding himself with the bunch at the hospital. And he had no idea why, but he had stayed the entire labour, all thirty hours plus of it. He couldn't explain that to himself. At all. No matter how much he tried. He had eventually gone home once he knew Quinn and the baby were doing really well, but now he found himself hesitantly making his way back through the corridors of the Maternity Unit, feeling really out of place but unable to pause and appreciate how adorable all the babies around here were. So, so tiny. He really wanted one himself one day.
He just found out from Blaine's mom in the waiting area that Kurt and Blaine had gone home for a few hours to make sure their house was all in order to bring their baby daughter home the next day. It was a shame, because Jeremy was hoping to see the wee one. So far, he had only see her from a distance. And he almost chickened out on why he even came here to start with, but he grabbed his balls (proverbially) and pushed on, coming to stand in the doorway of Quinn's luxurious maternity room, one hand stuffed deep down in his pocket. Which was the exact moment he realised she actually had the baby with her in the portable crib beside the bed. She was sitting on the side of the bed, arms resting on the edges of the plastic crib, just looking in at the little baby girl. There was something so beautiful and content about the moment, that Jeremy nearly left because he didn't want to interrupt it. That could be a mistake, though.
He cleared his throat softly and then held up a large bunch of flowers in all shades of pink. "Hey... I, um... I can come back later..."
