BLAINE, and OTA!

For Blaine, this was sort of a YAY NO CRUTCHES party. The week before, he had finally gotten the cast off his leg and although he was still a little bit stiff at times from the accident injuries, he was walking again and finally rid of those bloody things that had slow him up for weeks. The first thing he and Kurt did when they got home from the hospital after getting the cast off was sex with Blaine on top because it had been near impossible for him to manoeuvre the heavy cast before. He wasn't going to drink, though. Ever since Quinn's false labour, Blaine had been stressing out and had already fought two migraines that week. The last thing he wanted was a hangover. He and Kurt seemed to mutually agree that booze was off the menu tonight. They were just going to have fun hanging out with their friends, and no more questionable, reckless or embarrassing behaviour for now. They were both too damn exhausted from it all.

Blaine was sitting up on a high stool near the makeshift bar sipping on Diet Coke and watching everyone else dance. Normally he would be up, but again, he wanted to take it easy on his leg just like the doctor ordered. Furniture dancing was well out of the question. He watched Kurt standing over with Finn and Mercedes... well, watched Kurt's ass, becaue seriously, it was epic in those figure-hugging hipsters he was wearing tonight. Blaine was pretty sure he could sit here forever and watch.

After getting herself a bottled water, and four or five cookies (they were really good, okay?!), Quinn spotted Blaine relaxing about ten feet away from her. The Braxton-Hicks contractions still came and went, frustratingly so, and honestly, at this point, Quinn was so tired of being pregnant. She couldn't wait to see Kurt and Blaine's baby, and better yet, see Kurt and Blaine with their baby. And honestly, as much as she loved them and had loved the time spent with them and carrying their baby? She was kind of looking forward to starting her own life in London. Whether or not any of them liked to admit it, there had definitely been moments when their relationship had strained under the pressure, and Quinn was seriously ready to get their lives back to some semblance of normal so that they could have the relationship they'd had before, only with a far more special bond between them.

As it was, she crossed over to where Blaine was, resting a hand on his arm and giving it a gentle squeeze. "How's the leg, Blaine?" she asked, before following his gaze over to where Kurt was, cute ass and all. There was a moment of mutual appreciation for Kurt's ass, though clearly in a fag hag way from her and a "that ass is mine to tap" way from Blaine, but Quinn immediately turned her attention back to Blaine. Or at least tried to until she spotted Jeremy standing against the wall out of the way of everyone else. With a soft sigh, she turned back to Blaine officially, and gave him a small smile as her hand came down to rest where the baby was moving. It was one of the strangest, and yet most amazing feelings in the world, and Quinn had no way of describing it, so she appreciated it for what it was. "I think someone's excited to meet his or her daddies," she said with a warm smile as she gently looped her arm through Blaine's to observe the party.

"Light," Blaine had to respond with a laugh. He had that damn thing on for so many weeks that to suddenly be without that extra weight had thrown him off balance. In fact, he had gotten up from the sofa before and stumbled into Puck, causing him to now be the brunt of many a 'finally falling for Puck' jokes for the duration of the party. "It's like I had to remember how to walk properly again. It was almost euphoric not to have to pre-plan position for making love to my husband too. First, last and only time I ever get into a car when I'm angry. I won't be making that mistake again. It's hard to even really remember what the fight was about. Emotions were just running high in general. It's... I mean this in the nicest possible way, but I'm relieved it's all nearly over. I mean, this part. This part over, and the start of the next part of our life."

He gave her a smile and without even thinking now, he reflexively kissed the tips of his fingers and rested his hand on Quinn's baby bump. He let out a quick breath and laughed again. "I'm starting to get really nervous. I don't think I've been able to think straight ever since that... well, frankly abysmal comedy of errors with the false labour. Kurt told me when it really happens, he's duct-taping my mouth shut so I don't say anything stupid again," he added sheepishly.
