fff posting to the RP comm deleted my half-done gamelog

So Judith and Raven come to the Van Eltia to look for Yuri. I guess partially for a booty call and partially because their whole guild is under suspicion and life is being very hard for them in their home country (Galbanz? I'm not very sure, katakana is my bane, hence why I took three million years to figure out that all the dungeons had really stupid names). Funny the things that happen when you kidnap a princess.

Ange accepts them into Ad Libitum of course, and okay, Judith is fine but all Raven has done is hit on my player character. I am beginning to suspect that her only criteria for being a member of Ad Libitum is a pulse.

...and considering that Judas is also in this game, even that is questionable.

Judith asks me to go on an awesome Vesperia all-girl quest to kill shit, then Keel and Meredy barge in because their university is being shut down due to the looming threat of fossil-fuel inspired war, which, okay, I'll stop making fun of this for now because apparently mytholo2 has eco-terrorists and I need to save some material.

While they were at university, they were also researching the phostia issue, and they bring up that some people saw red mist appearing at phostia mining areas. The next story quest is to investigate a volcano which is an ex-phostia mining zone or something to see if we can find any red mist, accompanied by Will and Farah. NEW DUNGEON GET.

We make it through the volcano and reach an area which is filled with... bugs. Dead bugs. Which are also apparently an endangered species. Oh, okay. The red mist appears and possesses one of the bugs, which starts twitching, so Will decides to bring it back to the ship to investigate. And. Okay. I'm pretty sure I saw this happen in Aliens or something so I don't think I can recommend that, Will.

Back at the ship, the bug hasn't burst out of anybody's chest yet, so that's alright. At some point, Keel explains to me that Ad Libitum's goal is to create a self-sustainable bio-village which... I guess is a goal I can't really argue with...?

The next story quest comes from a guy called Johann. Actually I skipped most of his dialogue because he talks... like... this... but the gist of it is that he needs us to escort him to Brownie Cave to cure his congenital lung disease. Like me, Ange isn't sure this is the best idea but presumably money is money, so she assigns me Marta and Farah and I grab Yuri for my last slot because I am anything but predictable.

We head down to Brownie Cave and it's only when we're like two levels down that it occurs to Farah to ask Johann why he thinks that congenital lung disease can be cured in a bunch of damp tunnels. Johann tells us that a friend of his with the same disease was travelling through the caves trying to visit a doctor in the city when he collapsed, and when he thought that he was about to die, a red mist appeared and when he came to, his illness was cured.

Farah does not find this remarkable even though she was with me in the volcano. She's like, 'oh, red mist, really? WOULDN'T IT BE NICE IF YOUR ILLNESS COULD BE CURED' and I'm like ಠ_ಠ but unfortunately I can't talk unless it's through dialogue options. Let's just pretend that my descender was judging her a lot, okay.

At the end of the dungeon we're set upon by two golems, and the boss fight was actually hard as fuck because I already had no TP and I ended up using something like 7 life bottles so fffff. The red mist really does appear and it possesses Johann, and now Farah remembers that we saw it in the dungeon that we were just in like half an hour ago.

Johann's disease is miraculously cured though! He manages to pay us before he grows his second head or whatever, except the quest reward was like 600g and life bottles are 400g apiece so basically thank you! Fuck you!
