well so far everything has been fine at home, even though my parents are quite miffed i didn't tell them about anthony. (they knew when i kept getting owls, it's sweet. although i think pretty much he just likes that i send him sweets back.)
but anyway, i needed to let you know that i was in diagon alley the other day, and i spotted merwyn looking forlornly at a very melty looking ice cream cone, i don't think the poor boy even noticed it was spilling all over his hand. miranda has been so fickle, and i dare not even really believe that there's a chance for them, so i was thinking about getting his mind off of it. however, after a few minutes of thinking about it, i realized that actually i was headed toward flourish and blotts and i saw cassandra leaving through the latest, most updated series of wizarding encyclopedias, i can barely stand to see her so alone, without you of course, parvati dear. it seems like lots of us are spending some quality time at the ice cream shop, or in bookstores when we could be spending it happily, like i do with anthony. it seems as though everyone is a bit off, and it isn't just lately, i mean of course it is lately that i've noticed but i think even frank is still moping about his ex, or he's just moping. i mean i can't really tell and besides i haven't spoken to him in quite awhile.
so, what d'you say, vati? i think we ought to entertain the possibility of not just helping merwyn, because he's a lonely soul, useless really, but maybe frank, or even cassandra (if you think it's all right that is, because i wouldn't want to do that one without you knowing about it.) but anyway, i was just thinking that maybe a few of our dear, dear friends deserve the same kind of attention. (anyway, i'm going to send a letter to firetooth sometime soon, she was always very nice when we were together during school, very odd, obviously but sweet nonetheless, so maybe merwyn could take his mind off of silly, self-absorbed miranda for a few minutes anyway.)
