Oh my god I forgot how great living alone is. Classes are over and everyone in my flat has gone home for break. Also, I bought a £5 table lamp and a string of little LED lights, so now my room actually works for reading in. Before the choices were shitty flourescent lamp or overhead light, neither of which is acceptable.
My parents got me a Kindle for Christmas! It's the new one, with the really good screen. Very readable, even with the backlight. I put a bunch of free stuff on it, and read part of the parallel text Qur'an.
