Here's photos of a recent series I did in painting. I like most of them, but I am sorely disappointed in at least two of them (of the same person, natch), and and negotiating a repaint for one of them. But I think they turned out okay overall.

After Painting II, or during it, rather, I was having some kind of crisis, which basically has to do with not knowing what to paint, or what's worth painting, even though I know that I like the act of painting itself. My teacher said that people who need to work on technique should pick a subject they like; people who need direction for the subject should just work on technique. Me theoretically falling into the latter category, I just decided to paint a lot of heads--same size, same general idea. Early on, I got pretty tired of doing only the head ("Just a shoulder, please!"), but then I kind of just powered through. And that was productive for a while. But now, back to square one!
