quick update.
I haven't updated for a long time, so I somehow feel like I should. All I have left is the SAT on Saturday and then... I'm free.
For a week, anyway.
Still- wheeeee! I wish that it was just Saturday afternoon so I could go shopping, or next Saturday so I could go on my mini-road-trip...
But I had a nightmare about LearningWorks the other day, so that's a bit freaky- I'm starting to wonder exactly HOW I'm going to teach a web design class when I haven't done it since 8th grade... and exactly what my science curriculum is and how I'm going to make it last six weeks.
You know, there are teachers that you love and learn a lot from, teachers that you love and learn nothing from, teachers that you hate but learn a lot from, and teachers that you hate and learn nothing from. I can place every single one of my teachers into one of these categories. And although I'd love to be the love-learn a lot teacher, I'm beginning to wonder which is better: being loved and teaching nothing? Or being hated and teaching a lot? And wondering whether I would be okay with being hated as long as I was teaching them something.
Bugger it all. Good news in my life? I'm going to NYC! And Buenos Aires! And Japan! (I'm so spoiled. But so excited!) I feel like my parents are giving me this starter-travel-kit of the world- they give me the brief overview and I have the rest of my life to hang out in Paris, backpack through Central America, and get to know the places the first showed me much, much better.
It's one thing that I will always be grateful to my parents for.
