From, wow, all over my f-list over the weekend:

Tell me about stories you think I should write. I mean, if you could sit me down for a day or whatever and say, "K, I want you to write this story for me," what would that story be?

I'm not actually promising to *write* any of these, mind you, but it's fun anyway. And who knows if I'll be inspired!

What does Shang warrior training look like?

Back in the day I had this idea that part of the testing involved walking a perfectly straight line without any guidance or guidelines, 'cause they choose them young to train and that's something actually really difficult and yet something a kid could do kind of thing. And that they'd have to hit and kick hard surfaces like walls and trees etc, and a punishment would be go kick a wall thirty times. And they'd have to have fights where if they knocked against something they'd knock a bucket of water over onto them. And they'd be tournaments when you reached a certain age to see how good students were and decide who'd be best to take them as apprentices and they'd be non-profit friendly bets on who might later become a Shang Immortal. I had thoughts on this *laughs at self* but the characters were...yeah, it was a good thing I never put anything online at that age ;D

I always thought it was a one on one mentor system, with really good students jumping mentors if need be, but every three years or so they'd be a secret festival where they'd compete with each other (and it would end up a little too much like Gossip Girl, then they would have to spend the next three years reclaiming their dignity).

Now I really am going to have to write that Natasha as the Shang Spidren one. Gah.

Yeah, when I thought of a tournament I thought of it as a Shang only thing, secret from anyone else. Oh my gosh, needing to reclaim dignity afterwards, YES, it'd be like the time when they all get together and get to hang out, talk shop, relax a bit, so I bet all the students are on their best behaviour and trying to fight their best and the actual warriors are chilled about it all, no where near the end of the world, and they get up to bets and dares and emabarassing things :D

Natasha and Clint need a ride off of Persephone in a hurry. Once they're on the freighter that'll take them to the rim, Natasha meets another Red Room veteran - a young girl named River Tam.

Y'know I love this idea, but I've read a few Natasha meets River stories, and with wonderful like sienamystic's In Two Straight Lines in Rain or Shine I don't think I have anything to add. I do want to write a Firefly/Avengers fusion though, which doesn't have the Firefly crew crossed over, but the Avengers as as crew. I haven't read any of those that have made me give up on that (shhh, don't tell me if there any until I kick this fic's rear end).
