Sunset Icons

I made icons today.  This is a new thing for me...and proof of the lengths I will go to in doing anything but revision.
I read a few tutorials, but any advice from people who actually know how to make pretty icons would be very welcome.  I'm particularly wondering: do people usually upload the images straight onto livejournal or save them on ( Read more... )

Image quality shouldn't matter wherever you upload. PNG format is generally preferred, though.

Oh, and I'm not sure what you use, but I've uplaoded a copy of Photoshop CS3 somewhere. Do you want it?

Meh, I don't know what PNG is. Is is like JPEG? A format you save the picture as?

I used Picnik, an online site photo-image thingy that sarahetc mentioned as being fun. Photoshop would definitely be nice!

Heh, I had a phase of photographing sunsets for ages...

Yeah, it's like JPEG but higher-quality. It also preserves transparency and such.
