roulette.

Every day is a Russian roulette,
the suicide of a relationship.
There's no gamble if you're already dead.
Another day, another debt.

There's a place that I go to sing.
I join the chorus of the birds in the trees,
but when I lift my voice up to them,
the chorus stops, and they ask me to leave.

and every click hits my pulse just in time,
and every click is what keeps me alive.

From a distance they all look the same,
all the women, every bird, all the days,
and when I dream I can't give them a face,
and when I wake, it doesn't fade.

If I believe in the cross and the flood,
all this Russian roulette really does,
every spin and every revolution,
it brings me closer, back to God.

and every click hits my pulse just in time,
and every click is what keeps me alive.
