IF there is anybody out there wondering where the hell I went for the past 2 years, that would take an entire week of Oprah to discuss.
Have been back from Las Vegas since April 2009 but being back has been difficult. Difficult to the point of a few hospitalizations in the VA hospital psyche ward. Great cocktail of meds now and am doing much much better. Still have a day here and there that is crappy but better days outnumber crappy days 2-to-1.
Good news is I will be moving this next week so homelessness is abated. I have my appt with Outside In's trans clinic on Tuesday for my medical and physical assessment to begin Testosterone the following month. I am definitely geeked about that. I have an awesome psychologist who got me the appt. She totally rocks!!! Just hoping the VA keeps her after her fellowship is over kuz they need more docs like her.
So looks like I will get the chance to chronicle my transition FINALLY. And if I can get service-connected disability through the VA, will have the money to save for top surgery.
Discovered a more comfortable way to bind but just have to learn to do it without help. I wear an A shirt undershirt several sizes too small and then use a tummy wrap from the sporting goods section ($5). Works awesomely!!! Just takes 4 hands to get it tight enough. Will figure something out.
So, I am back, in more ways than one.
