General Ramblings
- Physical therapy is torturous
- The new Sweet Tea at McDonald's is well, sweet. Tastes like sugar and water. Not for me.
- Back was grumpy all weekend
- See the ortho doc on Thursday for my back. Am anticipating more torturous phys therapy to be prescribed.
- I feel like a hostage to this blazing heat! It may be dry but it's unbearable in the parking lots.
- Have a new little fish tank with 3 inhabitants...Agravaine the platy, Bedivere the guppy and Dagonet the dwarf frog. If you recall your Arthurian legend, they are all knights except for Dagonet, as he was Arthur's court jester.
- I have been reminded just how much I miss water! My screensaver, using my photos, has a plethora of pics of the Oregon coast and of NW Washington. And mona_cox sent me a pic of her dog along a river. With so much time on my hands, may have to take a trip up to Portland and the coast to satiate my need.
- Still have not found my book so I went against my conscience and started reading another one.
- I am also reading the Complete Idiot's Guide to Geocaching to make sure I don't look like too much the newbie when out hunting for treasure. Just wish it wasn't so damn hot out!
- Our feral cat food cache has been discovered by a momma kitty and 4 or 5 kittens. They are just too cute for words. Have to get a trap so I can get them neutered/spayed and then let them go. If the no-kill shelter has room, will take them there to be adopted.
- 20/20 had an interesting show on the other night. All about transgendered kids...the youngest was 6. Made me tear up a few times because they felt as I did when I was a kid and their parents were way accepting and supportive. My parents never dissuaded me from wearing boys' clothes or partaking in "boy like" activities. They just never went as far as these parents did by using appropriate pronouns or incorporating me into the social scheme as a boy.
- I am amazed that two people can dirty so many dishes!
- Bought a huge cat tree/jungle gym for The Kidz. Seems Slater The Crooked Kitty is the only one brave enough to climb it and sleep in one of the houses regularly. The BIG Boyz sleep on the base. Bandit will occasionally climb to the top. I was hoping for a little more chase action and ambushing. Hoping some catnip spray will entice them a bit more.
- Here is some worthwhile viewing...The History Channel is having a show called All About Dung on tonight. Think I will watch it. Beats the crap outta anything else on television tonight ;)
