crackvids, politics, and tearing apart fanfic dreams
The power of the Internet continues to amaze me. To an outsider (comme moi), American politics is plenty cracky already. Browse You-Tube for awhile, and it turns out we foreigners (dare I even say ... aliens?) ain’t seen nothing yet.
I apologise in advance for those who like their tin-foil hats on the tighter side, but I find these hysterically funny.
I watched a few of these this morning, but this is the one that totally pushed me into making a WTF sort of post.
The text inserts are a brilliant example of how someone can be smart enough to cut together video yet still not understand basic science. (Umm ... dude? Really ... if you put an object between a reflective surface and a reflection, the object will in fact obscure the reflection, with its own, which yes, can in fact look like a shadow if the object is wearing something like, say, a dark-coloured business suit. I’m just sayin’.) Even funnier is that if you want to take this vid as having some semblance of truth to it, the fact that the big reflection on the other side looks like Boba Fett just suggests to me that Bush was actually talking at the Cantina, not wherever they supposedly were. *evil grin*
AND THEN there’s the one that plays with an element near-and-dear to many SGA fanficcer’s hearts: John’s obsession with licking his lips. Apparently this is hard evidence of being a Lizard Master Supreme Overlord Ruler of the Entire World. Woah ... and then they went and revealed this super-sekkrit in canon and everything with those Conversion-related episodes! Eeeek. Wormhole Extreme is setting us up for eternal slavery!
*okay okay, I’ll stop drinking the hard stuff so early in the morning, I promise*
