I did it!

So, remember when I said I was making button necklaces?  Here are pictures of some of my favorite creations thus far.  They're not the sharpest quality, but you get the idea.

Hope you like them.  More here, along with my other crafts in my fb crafty album which has been featured before:

I meant to post this last week but my computer was up to some funny business, I thought I lost this whole thing and when I sat down tonight to type up another entry I was asked if I would like to restore from saved drafts.  Awesome, a tiny bit of redemption.  Still sad about it happening in the first place, I had spent almost an hour working on this one tiny post.  Agh!

In between trying to post this before and finally being able to do so, something rather cool happened,  My friend Janie gave my name to the current director of the Vagina Monologues at SCSU this year.  The director had contacted Janie because she had donated some paintings/artwork she had created for the Silent Auction portion of the performance night last year and was hoping she could donate again this year.  Well, turns out, Janie is in France so donating is really hard for her.  But she liked what I was making and forwarded my name on in hopes that I might be able to donate something.  I am really excited to do that because I was able to act in the Monologues a few years ago and I am always up for being involved somehow.  Since I am no longer a student I didn't think it would be possible to be involved, so this is an excellent opportunity.

And here is how YOU can help.  Take a look through my crafty things and make a suggestion in the comments here about what you think would be a neat donation for a silent auction.  Even if you just say, 'A black necklace in a cute box would be brilliant!' that is helpful.  Do you think I should put a couple of things together in a basket or should I keep them seperate?  Also, I am supposed to submit a 'value' for each item; how much would you value these at?

THANKS!!!
