still busy
Let's see what's going on these days. . .
I made an amazing chicken pot pie earlier this week. So damn delicious. Dad, the man of few words, even told me I had better write down that recipe and keep it. It was one of those things I just sort of made up as I went along, but I did keep notes on what I did. . .
And I found a new delicious recipe for chocolate chip cookies. The version I make is pretty famous around here but I figured I would give this recipe a shot because it's the type that just keeps in the fridge before baking. So, it would be nice to just keep around to make a few cookies at a time rather than a giant batch all at once. Let's face it, the cookies are best enjoyed while still warm and gooey. Nobody wants the crispy ones three days later. I haven't popped any in the oven yet, but I'll let you know how it goes.
I was planning on dropping off another sub list application today but as I was typing this I got a call to get set up for a day next week. So that's two days for next week already, plus my day of baby-sitting. And I was called in to sub yesterday. Now I am wondering if it is realy worth it to be on two lists. I know that it would increase my odds of being 'employed' pretty much every day, but I hate saying no and I don't want to put myself in the position of having to say no. And having to pay $25 for another background check isn't providing any further motivation. Not sure what to do. . .
I will be going up to St. Cloud tonight to meet up with Art. We plan on going to see "The Invention of Lying". And then I baby-sit tomorrow, it's Trivia night too! And I work Friday, then Saturday I *finally* get to go to a Husky Hockey game! Oh joy! I can hardly wait.
And by the way, I am watching Gilmore Girls and I just want to throw out there that The Festival of Living Pictures has to be one of the coolest ideas ever. I think it would be totally awesome to partake in that.
