So I'm not quite the letter writing, complaint phoning, email composing old lady of the cliche; as of Saturday lunchtime however I am now someone who emails live radio programmes LOL!

Subject: Useless gifts turned good
My friend gave me some fancy removable lights for my bike a couple of Christmases ago. She didn't realise I'd sold my bike a few months earlier and I didn't tell her. That winter the engine on my Narrowboat died leaving me without electricity and the fancy bike lights became a god send!
I also received a hand knitted cotton dish cloth which became the best thing to remove the hot kettle from the stove for tea :)

Dermott loved my letter and was more impressed with my hand knitted cotton dish rag (from my Charleston Bookcrossing Convention goodie bag. So thank you whoever knitted those - I've always meant to find out who that was and thank them.
