We, the WG and I, had a peaceful Easter or Resurrection Sunday as you prefer. No big family events, no huge meal to prepare, no eggs, not too much choccy, just peaceful. Because the WG had been working over sixty hours this last week, and didn't get here until after midnight Saturday night, we skipped the sunrise services this year.
We did our own things, shared our sugar stash, had a nice brunch, baseball, some general laziness, and called various family members to wish them well.
We did go out for a drive late in the day, taking the pooch for a walk on the lake. It was cold and windy, so the the area was deserted, save a few hardy (read crazy) souls like ourselves, bundled up and laughing about the weather on the last weekend of April.
Here are some pics of the lake:
A late supper, and some nice chat about a cabin I saw on Saturday, and then it was off to sleep. I never turned on my computer, and telly was only on long enough to watch the Dodgers win. Lovely.
If Resurrection Sunday is something you appreciate,
Inknbeans just released a book of poems by Dorothy Legge, a lovely lady of more years than you and me put together. There are almost a hundred poems about her faith, her God, her family, and friends, told with deep reverence, common sense, and humor. It's available at Amazon and through Inknbeans.com for $2.99 for Kindle (and all those other e readers) and $12.99 in paperback. Mother's Day is coming up.
, if not, avert your gaze and eat your Peeps.
Have a great week everyone!
