jeannie mckay is our king
look, ma, i think my flist just exploded. what a completely fabulous episode. i immediately have a new favorite. it was like a dream come true. i think this is about as coherent as i can get:
1. jeannie mckay!!!!! she was everything i hoped she'd be and more. i just LOVE siblings. like buffy and dawn, like people, and er, other people - i can't think, i just! mckay and mckay!
2. jeannie mckay!! played by kate hewlett! so, real siblings! ergo, even more love.
3. rodney and the neice: "hello, little one." teh awkward! <3!
4a. meredith. i think i died.
4b. john calling rodney meredith. ded again.
5. every moment of john and jeannie and rodney interacting? fabulous.
6. the way john and rodney so comfortably adjourned to john's room to talk things through, mid-crisis.
7. i haven't even gotten to the fabulousness of rod yet.

9. ronon is the same in every universe. <3.
10. john knowing that jeannie needs to see the letters to pegasus video. oh john, you're so good at smoothing things over between your boyfriend to your sis-in-law. was he plotting this while shining his golf clubs? i think so.
i think that's as coherent as i can get right now. i just am so, so pleased with the writers. i love them, i lurve them, i hug them and smoosh them and give them kissies! i love all this character-based stuff, and all this, well, fanfic-esque stuff. totally fabulous. season 3 is definitely shaping up to be so damn good. bless them for not falling into the Big Bad heaviness yet this season. i am doing the happy dance.
oh, and at the end? when they're all, "shh, here he comes!" and then ronon calls rod creepy? and the way rodney's face just lights up slowly? they are the cutest and sweetest li'l team ever and i reach out and ruffle their little moppet heads, each and every shiny one.
