Yesterday,
jjtaylor and I went to the matinée show of the Really Really Ridiculously Good Looking tour at the Middle East. It was made of awesome.
We got in line a little after 1 pm, and stood in line in the cold for not too long, but it felt long, because it was COLD! Eventually we rounded the corner and there was a bus:
And we were all, "Is that The Bus? Where the Magic Happens?" That was exciting enough by itself. But then when we got right up alongside the bus, this scenester kid came out, wearing a Cab hoodie, looking well-coiffed but a little flustered. He opened up a couple of the luggage bays under the bus before finding what was apparently his massive duffle, hauling it out, and marching off with it. JJ and I giggled a little bit over it - was he in a band? Did he need just the right scarf to finish his ensemble? - and later we realized it had been Trace Cyrus, the super bendy and lanky guitarist for
Metro Station. Bwee!
This is the Cab. They were my favorite of the three bands who were on before Cobra Starship. They were so cute and adorable and wee.

This video doesn't quite capture their cuteness, but it's the only one I took of them.
Next up was We the Kings. The lead singer is wearing an N'Sync shirt here, which is adorable. They were fun. The crowd loved them.
We were standing up with all the grown-ups on the side, which meant that we got to see all the bands as they trooped through to deposit their stuff and head over to the tables at the back to sign things. It was such a small venue! So awesome.
Metro Station was pretty good. I really loved the wee tiny drummer. I don't have any pictures, but he he did some fabulous drumming.
Look at the awesome 80's-ness of the Cobra backdrop! I think some of the retro-awesome of it all was lost a bit on the crowd. They were all so young. And frickin' adorable. Adorable, I think, was the operative word for everything yesterday.
Cobras! They were so much fun. I'm in the process of uploading all my little videos to YouTube, but I'll put what I've got so far up now, and then post some more later. I'll put up links too in case the embeds have issues.

Gabe asking the crowd to move back Click to view
I just absolutely ♥ when a band saves their fans from being squished. They asked everyone to move back several times during the show. It made my heart melt. GABE SAPORTA SAVES LIVES TOO.

The ceiling was pretty low, and Gabe, Alex and Ryland are all really tall. Ryland said, "I keep hitting my dome on these pipes." Also in this video, Gabe gets the crowd to step back again, and Ryland sees some girls who need to get out, and tries to get Gabe's attention by saying his name several times. I ♥ Ryland beyond the telling of it.

Um. ♥ Ryland again. Also, VickyT speaks! And asks everyone to move back as a birthday favor to her, to save the crushed kids. ♥ ♥ ♥.
Ok, that's all I've got for tonight, but it was just so frickin' flail-worthy. THEY ARE THE CUTEST AND I LOVE THEM 4 EVER.
